Your take-to-school checklist
Check the activity with the teacher, then prepare the fiddly steps at home.
- One labeled envelope of pieces per student, plus spares.
- One finished sample to demonstrate—not a required result.
- Adhesive, table covers and cleanup supplies if needed.
- A short visual sequence and familiar communication supports.
- Offer one step at a time; pause or finish whenever needed.
Choosing for ages 1–22 and different support needs
The collection spans ages 1–22; individual kits do not. Follow each product’s age label. For children under 3 or anyone who mouths objects, use an individually selected activity without small loose parts. Googly eyes, beads, magnets and loose foam pieces need particular care.
Level 3 autism does not determine a person’s interests, motor skills or sensory preferences. Teachers and professionals can choose the right assistance. Offer help without forcing hands, and allow choices through the person’s usual communication system.
For older students, offer photo frames, greeting cards, nature designs or decorations that match their interests. Accessible steps can still produce age-respectful projects.
